Portugal Walks was started in 1998 by Dr Julie Statham; she has travelled extensively through out Portugal and it's islands and has put together all the walking tours on offer and acts as the guide for the group tours (that is why there are only a limited amount of dates each year).

Julie offers advice and guidance for walking in Portugal. From small beginnings there is now a wide selection of holidays on offer to show you the very best of the country. All accommodation has been personally visited by Julie and it is the ethos of Portugal Walks to offer quality at a fair price. This is done in conjunction with registered travel agents on the mainland, in Madeira, the Azores and north Spain who also provide local support for you while walking and if you unfortunately do experience any problems they will be there to help you.

Portugal Walks is not a travel agent and does NOT provide air, train or bus tickets. You have the flexibility to find the transportation that best suits you but we are happy to advise - therefore if you require help, please ask. We do suggest for your own protection that you pay for your flights & holiday with a credit card and we always advise that you take out travel insurance.
