If you have made your own hotel arrangements in Madeira but would still like to do some walking then we have a wonderful weekly programme that can take you to all parts of the island. We work with a local agent and will collect you from your hotel and return you there at the end of the walk. (The cost of each walk is per person).
Monday • Queimadas / Caldeirão Verde
A very special full day walk through one of the Madeira’s oldest Levadas where you can feel the nature surrounded by the Laurissilva vegetation where you can admire beautiful landscapes of valleys, small craters, water falls, sea and mountains. Includes a visit to the Natural Park of Queimadas.

Tuesday am & Thursday pm • Maroços
Relaxing levada walk in the area of Machico. You will be enchanted with the 'thousand' of different flowers and different vegetables and fruits which grow on the terraces, providing an amazing contrast to the natural vegetation. The walk starts in Maroços and ends in Ribeira Seca.

Tuesday • Levada da Serra do Faial
Another relaxing half day walk along one of the beautiful levadas in the neighbourhood of Funchal, mixture of see and mountain views will delight you. This walk starts in Caminho do Pico do Infante and ends in Rochão

Wednesday & Sunday • Rabaçal / 25 Fontes
Full day Levada walk deep in the heart of the island with fascinating landscapes incorporating tremendous valleys, spectacular waterfalls and infinite laurel and header forest with beautiful springs

Friday • Ribeira Frio / Portela
Levada full day walk through the natural vegetation with fantastic view over the gorges and valleys with the Penha D’Aguia in the background. At Portela visit a local Restaurant where a local soup will be served. (included in price)
Moderate walking• 10 km • 4:00 hours Cost: £26.00 or 37.50euros
Friday • Levada do Norte
All year round, this is a superb walk, with a sun blessed, through landscape rich in cultivation. From Quinta Grande until Campanario, the houses are festooned with dahlias and the aroma of wood fires is in the air. Along this levada, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes such as cultivation terraces, lovely rural houses, charming gardens and eucalyptus plantations.

Saturday • Prazeres / Ponta do Pargo
Departing from the extreme west part of the Island, you will enjoy this walk among the breathtaking landscape of high mountains, deep valleys, and luxuriant vegetation with the atlantic always on your side. This is a pleasant walk overseeing the beautiful fishing Villages of Paul do Mar, Ponta do Pargo among others.

Excursions may be cancelled due to weather conditions or events beyond our control. A credit for an alternative excursion or a full refund will be given in such cases. No refund can be given for cancellations made by yourselves within 24 hours of departure of excursion. Equipment: Mountain shoes or sport shoes with a good grip, rainwear, jumper or light jacket.
