Monday • Ribeira Frio / Portela

A fabulous walk through the natural vegetation with fantastic view over the gorges and valleys with the Penha D’Aguia in the background. The whole area is surrounded by Laurissilva Madeira's primitive forest

Tuesday • Queimadas / Caldeirão Verde

A very special walk along one of Madeiras oldest levadas where you can feel the nature while surrounded by Laurissilva vegetation. There are beautiful landscapes of valleys, small craters, waterfalls, sea and mountains to admire and photo

Moderate walking • 12 km • 5:00 hours Cost: 32.00euros 

Wednesday • Porto da Cruz - Castelejo

Relaxing levada walk on the north coast where you will have the opportunity to visit some of the oldest villages on the island overlooked by the impressive cliff of Penha d' Aguia (Eagles Cliff). 

Easy walking • 10 km • 3:30 hours Cost: 32.00euros

Thursday • Baia d'Abra

Without doubt one of the most popular walking areas along the Sao Lourenco peninsula with amazing views to the north and south and spectacular multicoloured rock formations. 

Moderate walking• 9 km • 4:00 hours Cost: 22.50euros

Thursday & Saturday • Rabaçal / 25 Fontes

Full day levada walk deep in the heart of the island with fascinating landscapes incorporating tremendous valleys, spectacular waterfalls and infinite laurel and header forest with beautiful springs (after heavy rain there are 25 'singing' waterfalls).

Friday • Pico do Arieiro - Pico Ruivo

Almost to the top, this fantastic mountain walk with its interesting mountain climbs will reward you with some of the best views on the island.

Difficult walking • 10 km • 4.00 hours Cost: 32.00euros

Sunday • Boa Morte - Quinta Grande 

Through forests of pine and blue gum trees, passing tiny terraced fields along the Levada do Norte awash with flowers and always accompanied by the Atlantic Ocean.

Easy walking • 8 km • 3.00 hours Cost: 22.50euros

Excursions may be cancelled due to weather conditions or events beyond our control. A credit for an alternative excursion or a full refund will be given in such cases. No refund can be given for cancellations made by yourselves within 24 hours of departure of excursion.

Equipment: Mountain shoes or sport shoes with a good grip, rainwear, jumper or light jacket. Sun protection lotion, hat or a cap.
