Arrival in the Algarve and transfer to Monchique.
A walk of two halves along the slopes of Mount Foia, through ancient woodland and then down the valley where traditional farming is still practised 14km/8.6miles. Overnight in Monchique. Monchique Town to Picota, a 17km/10.5 mile circular walk through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Serra de Monchique with spectacular views down to the coast. Overnight in Monchique.
Transfer to Arao and then you walk through totally unspoilt countryside with panoramic views to both mountains and sea. You walk finishes by the Bravura lake where you will be met and taken to your hotel, 12.5km/8miles. Overnight in Lagos.
A chance to explore the historical town of Lagos and a half-day walk along the coast to the Alvor estuary where local fishermen collect clams and harvest oysters, 10km /6.2miles. Overnight in Lagos.
